We are students at Mondragon University, the faculty of HUHEZI, in Eskoriatza (Gipuzkoa) and would like to welcome you to our new blog about Basques around the world. This blog is the outcome of the optional subject that we took last semester, titled Basques around The World.

Monika Madinabeitia

Currently an assistant professor at Mondragon University, Eskoriatza. I completed my Ph.D. on the Basque-American writer Frank Bergon in 2006. I am interested in Basques in and out of the Basque Country. It is actually thanks to Basques outside Euskal Herria that I have understood that you need to know about the outer world in order to learn about your inner world.
